La nit del 13 de gener van haver errors per part d’algun membre de la tripulació que van conduir al naufragi del Costa Concordia. Per desgracia aquests errors han enfosquit les coses que van sortir bé aquella desgraciada nit.
Efectivament, varen morir 32 persones, però més de 4.000 van ser rescatades. Per aquesta raó, la tripulació del Costa Concordia, va rebre la setmana passada, el prestigiós premi “Seafarer of the Year” durant la cerimònia del Lloyds List Global Awards a Londres.
El jurat del Lloyds List va destacar els “exemples genuïns de valentia i professionalitat” dels membres de la tripulació del Costa Concordia i que de no haver estat per “l’expertesa” de la majoria de la tripulació, “la pèrdua de vides humanes podria haver estat molt més alt”.

When the cruise ship Costa Concordia struck a reef off the island of Giglio on January 13, international attention inevitably focused on the actions of the master. But what was largely missed in the media storm that ensued were the genuine examples of bravery and professionalism displayed by members of the crew. There were 4,229 people on board the vessel at the time of the casualty and while the tragic loss of life caused by this regrettable incident will rightly be the subject of forensic investigations for some time to come, it should not be forgotten that without the skilled response of the majority of the crew, the loss of life could have been far higher. Our judges this year concurred with the view of Filipino crewing suppliers Magsaysay who nominated their crew aboard but also wanted to acknowledge the bravery of others, that the actions of the professional and honourable seafarers that night should be publically recognised.

Benvolgut company “Jonkepa”,
T’agraeixo molt el premi, però crec que és millor que no l’accepti. Pots posar un altre en el meu lloc.
No fa massa que em varen donar un que era pràcticament igual. Tenia que fer les mateixes coses. Donar les gràcies a qui m’havia donat el premi (no calia dir-ho), dir unes quantes coses sobre mi i nomenar uns quants blogs que m’agradessin .
Per respecte als que em seguiu, entre els que t’incloc, no vull entrar en el que es podria convertir en un bucle.
Espero que entenguis la meva postura i insisteixo en que m’ha satisfet molt que hagis pensat en mi.
